Dyno Tuning by Dynojet & Rexxer
  • A dynamometer is a machine that can measure the torque horsepower and air to fuel ratio of the motorcycle throughout the load and RPM Range.
  • Dyno Tuning is used to maximizing all aspects of the motor to achieve desired machine power and efficiency. The air to fuel ratio may be running too high or low. (Lean/Rich) You may desire maximum power, maximum fuel efficiency or a specific compromise. All these things can be accomplished with proper tuning. The Dyno graph will show if the motorcycle is running properly, wasting fuel, or is not up to full potential. The technician can then use the graph to adjust desired parameters.
  • Dyno tuning is not only for Moto GP Racers or track junkies but also for your average rider. If you simply want a smoother running engine, better MPG, or maximum power then tuning your bike is the way to go.
  • One of these methods is ECU (re) flashing performed using the Rexxer unit. The ECU (Electronic Control Unit) is the main computer inside your bike that tells the engine when to let more fuel in when to turn the cooling fans on, adjust ignition timing, turn off the O2 sensor and exhaust servo valve or even change your dash information display. The ECU firmware contains many information tables (maps) that provide the basic data the engine needs to operate. The Rexxer unit can adjust these maps to make your bike perform at the desired efficiency.
  • Another popular method of tuning is Power Commander by Dynojet. This is very similar to the Rexxer ECU flashing tool however instead of going into the ECU with software and tweaking the maps, you plug in a piggyback box (Which is preloaded with a Map) that overrides the ECU functions for the desired result in real time.
  • Any of these two methods will get your bike running smooth, fluid, and at the desired performance.
